Rob Deutschmann: The Best Choice for Cambridge and North Dumfries

Rob Deutschmann for Cambridge

As Cambridge and North Dumfries prepare for the upcoming provincial election, one candidate stands out as the clear choice to represent our community at Queen’s Park: Rob Deutschmann. With decades of experience as a lawyer, community builder, and public servant, Rob brings a unique combination of expertise, dedication, and vision. Backed by Bonnie Crombie’s bold Ontario Liberal platform, Rob is ready to tackle the challenges facing our region and deliver real results for families.

A Proven Leader with Deep Roots in Our Community

Rob Deutschmann has spent his life advocating for others. As a personal injury lawyer with over 30 years of experience, he has fought tirelessly for injured and disabled individuals. His journey began at Wilfrid Laurier University, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) degree, followed by a law degree from Western University. In 1995, he established his own law firm in Kitchener, which has grown into a thriving practice.

Rob’s commitment to the community extends far beyond his professional life. A longtime resident of Ayr in North Dumfries Township, Rob has been an active participant in local sports and development initiatives. He co-founded the Ayr Rockets Girls Hockey Association and the Ayr Adult Soccer League, creating lasting recreational opportunities for residents. He also played a key role in raising over $2 million for a multi-use facility and medical centre in Ayr.

As Mayor of North Dumfries Township from 2010 to 2014, Rob demonstrated his ability to lead with integrity and vision. He served on Regional Council and other boards, where he championed initiatives like expanding discretionary benefits, supporting the Waterloo Region Food Bank, and advocating for recognition of intimate partner violence as an epidemic.

Backed by Bold Liberal Policies

Rob’s candidacy is strengthened by Bonnie Crombie’s transformative Ontario Liberal platform, which addresses the issues that matter most to families in Cambridge and North Dumfries.

Housing You Can Afford

Housing affordability is a crisis across Ontario, and Rob is ready to bring Crombie’s comprehensive housing plan to our community. This includes eliminating the provincial Land Transfer Tax for first-time homebuyers and seniors downsizing, saving families an average of $13,500. The plan also scraps development charges on new middle-class housing under 3,000 sq. ft., potentially reducing home prices by up to $170,000. For renters, phased-in rent control and an emergency rent fund will provide much-needed relief.

Healthcare for Everyone

Access to healthcare is another pressing issue. Crombie’s promise to guarantee every Ontarian access to a family doctor within four years aligns perfectly with Rob’s commitment to improving local healthcare services. This $3.1 billion plan includes opening new medical schools, recruiting doctors back into family medicine, and creating team-based clinics with extended hours—solutions that will directly benefit families in Cambridge.

Tax Relief That Matters

Families are feeling the pinch of rising costs. Crombie’s “More For You Tax Cut” will deliver $1,150 in permanent financial relief for Ontario families—a policy Rob fully supports as part of his mission to make life more affordable for everyone in our community.

A Vision for Cambridge and North Dumfries

With his deep roots in our region and proven track record of leadership, Rob Deutschmann is uniquely qualified to represent Cambridge at Queen’s Park. His dedication to public service, combined with Bonnie Crombie’s bold policies on housing, healthcare, and affordability, makes him the best choice to fight for our community’s future.

This election is about more than just choosing a representative—it’s about choosing someone who will stand up for you and your family. On election day, vote for Rob Deutschmann: a leader who will deliver real results for Cambridge and North Dumfries!
